For Bogusha and Lee’s wedding, my job started with the bride as she prepared for the day. In her beautiful soft aqua dress, her delicate hairpiece in place, she was ready to go. The ceremony was held in Islington Town Hall, a historic building that has been used for weddings for generations. With its marble hallways, it was a perfect spot to take a few pictures of the couple, the bride holding her white flower bouquet.
Outside the Town Hall, the steps also proved a great place to take a few shots of the various friends and family who had joined the couple. Everyone then got into the vehicles on hand to travel to the reception, after a few last minute adjustments! When they arrived at the venue, beautiful spring flowers decorated the tables and everyone settled for a quick catch up before the food arrived. For the kids, entertainment came in the form of blowing bubbles, watching them sparkle in the sunshine. The garden area of the venue was perfect for everyone to get a few shots of the new couple. I also took the chance to get them away from the group for a moment for a few quiet shots by the canal with its traditional red canal boats in the background.
